Energy Transfer’s Dakota Access Terminal Project (DATP) was comprised of six crude oil gathering and storage terminals located in the Bakken oil fields of northwest North Dakota. The terminals have a combined total of 14 fixed-cone roof tanks with internal floating roofs, ranging in size from 100,000 to 200,000 bbl, with a total working storage capacity of 1.94 million bbl of crude oil. This project included 60,000 HP of installed pipeline pumping capacity, which feeds into Energy Transfer’s Dakota Access Pipeline.

Matrix provided EPC for all six terminals, including site preparation, civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation work. The project workforce peaked at over 900 direct-hire and subcontract craft workers and 120 construction management staff across all six sites.
