Matrix PDM Engineering was contracted for the Compressor Station Upgrade under an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract as part of the client’s emissions reduction program and furthering of environmental, social, and governance objectives.
The scope included replacing four existing reciprocating compressors with two-stroke gas-fired drivers with a single Solar C-405A centrifugal compressor and Taurus 70 (10,900 HP) gas-fired turbine driver. The project was completed in full compliance with all jurisdictional authority requirements including DOT Part 192 and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) certificate issued pursuant to the project.
Matrix PDM worked with a construction partner to develop an EPC solution while leveraging internal gas processing and modular design expertise in conjunction with partnerships for key equipment suppliers to deliver an operating facility on schedule. This included breaking the project into two (2) phases and accelerating certain design and construction aspects for Phase 1 to meet client objectives.
